STOP THE ITCH CAMPAIGN


Over the past three years, the North and South Twin Lake District has been aggressively working to find a solution to Swimmer’s Itch on our lakes. This effort has resulted in their incurring legal fees to address repeated denials by the DNR to approve a Scientific Research License. The District’s 2024 budget has been fully expended for this issue. Therefore, they reached out to the NSTLRA for additional support. The NSTLRA in turn initiated the STOP THE ITCH campaign with a goal of raising $35,000 to cover the District’s ongoing legal fees. The District believes that they are getting close to achieving a breakthrough and the NSTLRA stood ready to lend our support.

 

Thanks to our members, neighbors and friends, we have already reached 55% of our goal. MORE HELP IS NEEDED. Let’s finish this!
